Amanda Alger
owner & stylist
Amanda was born and raised in the bridal fashion world! Her parents, Fred and Karen, owned and operated a successful bridal retail operation in the Reading area in the early 90s, where Amanda spent most of her childhood. From a young age, Amanda loved “helping” brides pick out gowns and accessories in her parents’ store.
Fast forward a few (or a lot) of years, to the present day – Amanda currently works as an Account Executive for one of the bridal industry’s leading wedding gown designers, Paloma Blanca! She gets to work with some of the top bridal stores (just like Dressed in Love) across the country, assisting them with selecting sample gowns from Paloma Blanca for their stores. That’s when she had an idea – What if she could take the best parts of all of her favorite bridal shops, and create the ultimate wedding dress shopping experience for brides right here in Reading, PA?!
The idea for Dressed in Love came about in 2016 when she started compiling thoughts and ideas but was waiting patiently for the right location. She was thrilled to find the perfect “home” for her dream in the heart of downtown West Reading. Amanda can’t wait to share her wealth of knowledge about bridal fashion and the wedding industry with her Dressed in Love brides!
Caroline

Caroline grew up in Berks County as a Brooklyn transplant which makes her incredibly sassy, but with a heart of gold. As a teacher, Caroline values Dressed in Love's focus on bridal education and making sure our brides leave knowing they made the right choice and found their perfect dress. Since joining the team, she has found a love for bridal fashion and is so happy to be part of the DIL team- her charisma and humor puts our brides at ease through the process, but her teaching background means she'll be asking all the right questions to get you in that perfect dress down the aisle!

We’re thrilled to welcome Tara to our team! Her journey to Dressed In Love began just like many of yours—searching for her dream dress. That experience sparked a deep appreciation for the magic and emotion that comes with finding the one, and ultimately led her to join our bridal family.
Tara brings over 20 years of experience in associate relations, training, leadership development, and strategic planning through her work with a leading transportation company based right here in Reading, PA. Her expertise in driving sales growth, enhancing customer experiences, and fostering community engagement makes her a valuable addition to our suite.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tara is deeply committed to giving back. She’s actively involved with organizations such as the Penske Women’s Network, United Way, Girls on the Run, and Veterans Making a Difference. She believes that being part of a community shapes who we are—and that same sense of belonging and joy should be felt when choosing your wedding dress.
Tara is passionate about helping each bride feel confident, radiant, and celebrated. She looks forward to sharing in your excitement and guiding you to the perfect gown that reflects your unique spirit and love story.
